Botany Bay Family History Society Inc was formed in 1984 to assist members in their family history research by providing a meeting place for genealogists and family historians to pursue their common interest.

We are located in the Sutherland Shire, approximately 30km south of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia.

The Society currently has over 400 members, our meeting nights are held monthly (excepting January) at Sutherland, and our Research Centre and Library is located at Caringbah.

We also publish a quarterly journal The Endeavour, and a monthly newsletter The Botany Bay Bulletin. We offer various education classes and special interest groups and our monthly meetings feature informative and entertaining guest speakers on a wide variety of subjects of interest to genealogists and family historians.
